Barney Davey is the president and founder of Bold Star Communications. In a career spanning three decades, he has been intimately involved in the art print business.  As a sales, art marketing and publishing executive for Decor magazine and its sister Decor Expo tradeshows, Barney consulted with hundreds of the industry's leading art publishers and self-published artists regarding their art marketing and advertising strategies.  Through Barney's extensive art industry contacts and experiences, he was privileged to observe the best practices of leading art publishers and artists and to note similarities in their attributes and strategies.  He has distilled that knowledge and now shares it with visual artists who desire to learn how they can use the print market to further their career.   As Director of Strategic Alliances for Pfingsten Publishing, LLC, parent company of Decor and Decor Expo, he successfully identified and negotiated with numerous companies seeking to create marketing synergies with the publication and the Decor Expo tradeshows.  Those broad intensive experiences increased his already substantial knowledge of art print marketing and Internet marketing. Barney's background includes work on publications in diverse fields including, retail art & framing, home decor, insurance, financial services, hospitality, travel, private clubs and child care services markets in sales, sales management and marketing. He utilizes and brings to life the knowledge and insights gained from this wide market exposure in his consulting, speaking and writing services. In addition to his art marketing consulting, he does public speaking on art and Internet marketing. He is the author and publisher of the 280-page book, How to Profit in the Art Print Market. Barney also is the editor and publisher of the free subscription ezine, Art Print Issues. He frequently blogs for Absolute Arts, one of the leading fine art sites for artists, collectors and patrons. Barney Davey has conducted Teleclasses on art print marketing through Artist Career Training and Art Biz Coach, career advisory services for artists. Barney Davey resides in Arizona.
